The comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF) crossed an interesting field of galaxies the night of the 23rd of January 2023, including NGC5907, also known as the Splinter galaxy, and Messier 102.

This telescopic image of the Comet 2022 E3 (ZTF) was captured on the early morning of the 23rd of January 2023, at 02:40 UTC, from my backyard observatory in Prades (Tarragona, Spain). The image is the result of a wide field mosaic captured during 3 nights: 22, 23 and 26 of January 2023.

The full image covers an area of 5º56′ x 2º53′ at a resolution of 2.59″/pixel.
