Friday afternoon, 17th of December of 2021 17:55h UTC, I captured a series of images of the C/2021 A1 (Leonard) comet from the Prades Mountains (Muntanyes de Prades) as it was visible close to Venus near its conjunction.

Estimated apparent magnitude for the comet was in the range of m=4.50 to m=5.00 as we can compare it with the binary star 52 Sagittarii (m=4.55).

This image is a single 3 second exposure image captured with a Sony A7S and a Samyang 135mm lens with no tracking. The comet was just 3º above the horizon and shows a really faint tail. I observed it through binoculars but it was impossible to see it with naked eye.

The details shown are the result of a regular landscape image processing (PS, LR and Topaz Denoise).

See the Stellarium simulation attached.
