This image of the Rosette Nebula, NGC 2237 or Caldwell 49, is the result of a transoceanic collaboration between Josep Maria Drudis, an american based great astrophotographer and myself (Aleix Roig).
Josep M. acquired high resolution data with his remote setup located near Coonabarabran, NSW Australia, using a PlaneWave CDK 20″. This data, originally processed and published in an amazing high resolution image of the core of the Rosette, was used for the highlights and details of the nebula. To create the wide field image we used my recent image made with the Takahashi FSQ85.
