Captured last night from the surroundings of Tivoli Astrofarm, Namibia, under one of the darkest skies on Earth.
This wide-field panorama reveals some of the Southern Hemisphere’s most spectacular deep-sky treasures. Dominating the scene is the magnificent Eta Carina Nebula, surrounded by the intricate dust lanes of the southern Milky Way. To the right lies the beautiful Corona Australis molecular cloud complex, while the impressive Omega Centauri globular cluster and the active galaxy Centaurus A (NGC 5128) stand out clearly.
The diversity of celestial objects captured within a single frame is one of the reasons Namibia is considered one of the world’s finest destinations for astrophotography.
